Technology is a wonderful thing. But it’s also overwhelming and the increasing use of the cloud to drive products, services and innovations is one organisations need to be focused on as part of their plans for developing and operating their businesses.
As a recent startup ourselves we’re learning fast that there’s a bewildering amount to do to succeed. So, when Microsoft asked us to help produce an event they wanted to run to demystify the cloud and show people like you (and us) how we can harness the cloud to drive our businesses it seemed perfect. We’re a startup, we need the cloud for a lot of things (we’ve a lot of ideas we want to develop), but we’re not sure where to begin with it.
Creatively, we’ve spent the last month looking at the challenge and realised that the cloud does a lot of things for a lot of people. But to really connect it needs to speak clearly to each group. We set ourselves the challenge of communicating the benefit of the cloud in under 30 seconds. You can see our results in the video.
Through this animation and message we want to inspire people to come along to our event in London on the 12th of November. It’s for the startups, the entrepreneurs and the game developers to remove the ignorance of the cloud and show how to get going. On any platform. So whether you’ve got an idea for an app, new service or game that can enhance everyday living we’re confident it’s worth coming along.
We’re also organising a beer post event so developers and entrepreneurs can come together and network. This is a great chance to build alliances and partnerships that can really drive each other’s ideas and businesses forward.
For more established businesses and ideas we’re throwing the gauntlet down and running a pitch competition. The winners will get support from Microsoft and be showcased to some leading figures.
So, a free event in London with beers and networking for startups and entrepreneurs courtesy of Microsoft. What’s not to love! You can register here – but you’ll need to be quick as spaces are limited.
