This Wednesday we were producing the Personal Information Economy 2015 conference for Ctrl Shift. For Superglue and Ctrl-Shift, it was a big step up from the 2014 conference, with 300 delegates and over 60 high profile speakers.
A bigger conference meant a bigger venue this year so we used the spectacular Kings Place, King’s Cross, London. We packed out the gallery with the Entrepreneur Marketplace – a buzzing area with showcases from innovative and disruptive new technology and service providers for this forward thinking industry – and three separate conference streams were hosted in their main theatre and studio spaces. The venue proved to be ideal for the event, both in terms of location and facilities.
We produced and managed the event in its entirety – from sourcing the venue, managing speakers, sponsors & entrepreneurs, producing screen content, film and photography to arranging catering, exhibitions and delegate wellbeing. A highlight was the interactive artist that we engaged to create these wonderful illustrations in real time from the discussion that was happening on-stage.
We’ve already been asked to don our thinking caps about how to make PIE2016 bigger and better still.
