We went back to the Nicholls and Clarke Building on Blossom Street, Shoreditch with British Land to produce the first in their Sustainability Event series of breakfast briefings. This one, on the inspiring subject of apprenticeships, saw over 70 high profile industry experts from the construction, retail, governmental and independent sectors meet to discuss this important subject for young people.
We used three spaces on the ground level of the venue for the event. In two we produced a bright exhibition showcasing beautifully designed articles and images which represented a cross section of opinion on the subject. Along side that was a studio style presentations and discussions space with live audience. We also filmed and live streamed the presentations back to British Land HQ.
The venue has a wonderful industrial feel which we complimented with lighting, furniture and decor styles throughout. To ensure we walked the walk of the subject matter we worked with Blue Marble – who are themselves a local leading light in apprenticeships, to cater for the event.
As the venue has no running water, power distribution, lighting or other utilities we needed to start from scratch to build what was a smooth running event with a great atmosphere.
