We were asked to provide complete event management for an attention grabbing launch for a digital startup called Grandaad. They needed to engage with digital minded, self-starters. We conceived and produced a fast paced ‘as live’ TV talk show event with new interesting speakers who each had very interesting stories.
For the actual evening itself we event managed and produced the complete creation and installation of a warehouse vibe in a basement gallery space in Shoreditch. We used hand-drawn art on a scaffold sets and display of various props to bring the ambiance to life. This look evoked the energy and excitement that the industrial style space offers creatives. The seating was arranged to give a relaxed vibe and interactive installations were put in to ensure the guests mingled before during and after the event.
The look and feel stretched to the set with considered lighting to ensure the guests focussed on the speakers and the content being presented on stage. Throughout the rest of the venue we installed bars and seating areas and created video walls which re-inforced the edginess of the event with looping reels of the guests.
Our innovative approach to the speaker event format worked in two ways, live in attracting a very cool, east London audience, but also digitally by giving Grandaad video segments that covered a variety of topics. Each positioning Grandaad as being influential and useful to creatives. To deliver this element for Grandaad we pre-interviewed and coached the speakers. Using our knowledge to shape the questioning to draw out the themes that would resonate most with the audience. The atmosphere on the night was electric and the buzz generated in the room was palpable.
The event and the video was used by the client to help drive awareness and interest for the brand. It successfully helped them secure additional funding from investors which they’ve used to grow their business and they will be unveiling the platform later this year.
Following this event we provided consultancy services around their 10 week run at Fairground, a music, food and opinion based pop-up from the team behind Street Feast.
