Future Decoded was a one-day conference run by Microsoft in 2014. They invited a selection of the world’s most influential thinkers to gather at London’s Excel and explore changes set to shape business in the 21st century.
As part of the programmme, Superglue were asked by the Microsoft Azure marketing team to produce an event that would attract new creative’s and start-ups to explain how the Azure platform could support their businesses.
Superglue provided pre-event consultancy in developing the content and show structure as well as building a campaign to increase attendance.
A short film by up and coming animator Jonathan McKee was commissioned and launched online to promote the event. Edits were created for Instagram and Vine, presenting Microsoft in a relevant new light to its target audience and backed up by a social media and email campaign.
On the day, a select group of entrepreneurs pitched their ideas to a high profile panel including the editor of Wired Magazine in front of a packed auditorium. Behind the scenes Superglue cued the show and managed the technical production.
Attracting an audience and getting them to actually turn up was the trickiest part of this brief. However, our successful pre-event campaign and inspiring content meant that the event achieved a near 99% attendance rate, compared to an expected 50%.
